No, you do not need a fan first, but it should really be real.

Please contact go to the sporting Commission in your country, through the witness of that will happen (this varies) depending on the state and have a blood test for blood-borne pathogens. After that a director needs, or contact a promoter / matchmaker be placed on a map.

At 34, inexperienced, you can test "the water" with a Toughman competition or something. Boxing'm not know how long you trained, etc., but is very professional, very tough business, and if you do not have the support of a sponsor or a fund of good amateur is likely to be passed 'to enable more young fighters so that the bullets in your resume. I do not say, you can not or will not succeed, but at his age and inexperience, we have a tough battle ahead. Be smart and continued his career as you can.

Good luck, unless you decide!
